Working as one of the most important rehearsals of World Karate Championship to be held in Germany in november, Karate 1 Premier League's Istanbul leg will host Karetekas from 57 countries.

Turkey will welcome the best Karetekas of the world in the early days of September. Istanbul leg of Karate 1 Premier League, which is considered as the 'Champions League' of Karate, will be held in Asli Cakir Alptekin Sports Hall on September 6-7. Up to 500 Karatekas from more than 50 countries are expected to participate in this prestigious event to be hosted in Istanbul for the 4th time.
All the Karatekas of men's and women's national team of Turkey will be on Tatami in Karete 1 Premier League, which is ragarded as one of the most important rehearsals of World Karate Championship in the beginning of November.
In the organisation in which seniors will compete in Kata and Kumite, 12 medals will be distributed in individuals while medals will be presented in 2 categories in teams.
Istanbul Open Karate Championship, which is also included in World Karate Federation's calendar, will be held on September 5 as well. Nearly 600 Karatekas are expected to be on Tatami in cadet, junior and senior categories for this event to be organized for the 9th time this year.

Press conferences of Karate 1 Premier League and Istanbul Open tournaments, which will welcome the stars of Karate world, will be presided by Esat Delihasan, who is the President of Turkish Karate Federation, on Thursday, September 4.

President of Turkish Karate Federation Esat Delihasan underlined that the consistent graphic they had possessed was also reflected in the level of organizing events and said that they had been presented a certificate of congratulation by World Karate Federation (WKF) and European Karate Federation (EKF).
Stressing that Karate 1 Premier League was the most prestigious event after World and European championships, Delihasan said "It is exciting to be hosting this important tournament for the 4th time in Turkey. It will be a good rehearsal for us in terms of both sports and organizing an event. Our Karatekas will see their latest condition here before the World Championship in november. In addition, this will also be a rehearsal for the 50th European Karate Championship, which we will organize in Istanbul in march next year."
